| We began producing automobile components in 1911. American's
automotive icons were our first customers: Henry Ford, Walter
Chrysler, John Willys and others. They were drawn by our
understanding of metal alloys and our ability to translate that theory
into products they could rely on. |

Founded in Toledo, Ohio as the Mather Spring Company. The
company manufactured Bumpers as well as Leaf Springs. |
| 1946 |
The Torsion Bar Spring plant was built to produce Stabilizer Bars in
Toledo, Ohio. |
| 1987 |
Mather Metals was purchased by NHK Spring Co., LTD., and renamed New
Mather Metals, Inc. |
| 2001 |
Due to the successful growth of the long-term partnerships with our
customers, New Mather Metals begins construction of a second stabilizer
bar manufacturing facility in Franklin, KY to commence operation in the
fall of 2002. The 78,000 sq. ft. facility is designed for the
total bar manufacturing process inclusive of the pain and sub-assembly
operations; therefore, beneficial in the control of over-all product
quality and delivery. |

Expansion of Franklin plant announced due to business growth. |

(Fall) New expansion scheduled to be completed. |

| Today, we continue to be sought by manufacturers seeking experienced
team mates able to bend, shape and treat metal components to meet a wide
variety of performance and design characteristics. We are a
leading supplier of stabilizer bars to General Motors, Toyota, NUMMI,
Nissan, Honda, Subaru, Saturn, Isuzu, CAMI and other truck and light
vehicle manufacturers. |
